Well, it’s not really a rumour; it’s more of a fact! Yes, that’s right; it’s actually happening! So, you know that friend who you’ve been trying to get into biking, but they just won’t have it? Well, the guys over at Harley-Davidson might be able to persuade them! You’ve got until the
11th May 2018 to enter.
A BRIEF HISTORY ON HARLEY-DAVIDSON
WeBuyAnyBike all love a bit of history, don’t we! We all know about the big boys; the bikes that have graced our screens on many occasions, owned by the likes of popular film stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and George Clooney. The history of Harley dates back to 1901, when childhood friends turned 20-year-olds, William Harley, and Arthur Davidson set out their plans to create their first motorcycle. After 2 years, in 1903, along with Arthur’s brother, Walter, they finally put down their tools in their Milwaukee garage; their mission was complete. Thus, the official start of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. With their first motorcycle prototype failing, however, it didn’t take the boys long to correct their errors and have a fully established motorbike. Just 4 years later in 1907, William Davidson, brother of Arthur and Walter, was the final founder of the team.
The whole thing is in celebration of the 115
th anniversary of Harley-Davidson itself. Their 12-week program;
Find Your Freedom, is to teach up and coming bikers on their very own bike; yes, you read it right the first time, a FREE one! The lucky interns will be taught to ride with the H-D Riding Academy, as well as this, they will also have to participate in up and coming special events hosted by Harley-Davidson themselves. In addition, just generally reporting on their rides! All their reviews and reports will be documented on their different platforms, in turn providing them with a step into a marketing career, and a hopeful growing passion for bikes!
This internship certainly not one to be missed, and we’re very excited for the lucky eight; we’re looking forward to following their journey!
WHAT’S THE CATCH?
We’d love to say there is none, but what might be a little bit of a hiccup is that to take part in the internship, you have to be over 18, and it would probably be fitting for you to live in the US. However, if you’re willing to move over, or if you know someone in the states, you might be one of the lucky ones!
