Schools are out, the summer is in full swing! This got the team here at bike trader, We Buy Any Bike discussing what events we are going to this year! Here are some of WeBuyAnyBike’s favourite UK motorcycle festivals, and some that are completely new to us!
Situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the Withernsea Music and Bike Festival was first established in 1994 as a campaign to raise money to provide Christmas lights for the seaside town. A mere 24 years later, the independent event is still going strong. This year, the organizers are doing it in style! Not only do they have a firework display organized, but you can also get involved in the Cosmodrome! As well as this, they also have a collection of biker themed displays and stalls. For example, they have a replica bike of famous motorcycle racer Barry Sheene, as well as the physical Honda 4 owned by road racer, Mike Hailwood. Along with this, they also have an exciting stunt performance from the Two Brothers; Mark Van Driel, and Paul Todd. Along with a huge selection of other entertainment, such as live bands, there is also a variety of stalls available for food; the one that caught our eye was definitely the hog roast! You can also bring your pets to this family-filled FREE event, and there is also camping available for a small charge of just £15. This festival is definitely one not to be missed!
Date(s): 3rd – 5th August
Location: Valley Gardens/Memorial Gardens/The Promenade Withernsea
This 2-day event takes place in the heart of the Paris of England… better known as Blackpool. Following the success of their first event in 2017, the organizers are back to present this fantastic event for bikers from all over the UK!

This year, they have a collection of lots of exciting things happening; exhibits from leaders and traders of the industry, as well as a variety of food stalls, live music, and much more. In the foyer they will have a blue light display, showing a representation of the highlights of hard work that the emergency services do for us. There will also be a Custom Village, an area in which a showroom of Custom Bikes will appear. This is an exceptionally family-friendly event; there is also a kids area, with various bike experts who will work to encourage kids to have fun on bikes in a safe environment.

This quirky little festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year! With a collection of different booths catering to all bike enthusiasts… you can even get a tattoo if you like! No Bull just Beer and Bikes may not seem like it in terms of the title, but it is actually filled with lots of family fun things to do. They even have their own Taxi service in the form of a Tractor named Tom, who is more than happy to escort you to the local village of Builth Wells where you can make lots of memories in the local pubs.
As it is scheduled for what is supposed to be a hot bank holiday, the event organizers have even arranged for a 100ft waterslide! – Rather you than me on that one. You can park your vehicle here for just £10 for the whole weekend, Blue Badge holders are excluded from this charge.

Now, I suppose this festivals ties in with our previous post! One of the exhibitionists appearing at the event is the National Motorcycle Museum. They will have a mini-exhibition presented in St John’s Car Park. One of the main recurring attractions at this event is the bike race on High Street. Brackley council kindly close off the high street particularly for the event itself, this is certainly one not to be missed! The Brackley Festival or Motorcycling also celebrates a decade in the industry this year; the child-friendly event hosts a selection of shows, such as live music and a special appearance from the Fox Family’s Wall of Death. In addition, the Festival also welcomes complete biking newbies! This year, Honda is offering a Motorcycle Experience Workshop ‘Get on’, to anyone wanting to try out riding a motorbike for the first time. This experience is open to ages 12+ and height restrictions apply.

This event occurs around the same time every year and they encourage all bikers to bring their own bikes to display; all they ask is that you turn up before 10 am to register! Situated in the heart of Aberdeenshire on the 9th of September, is the fantastic 35th Grampian Motorcycle Convention. Following a tragic fatal accident during the practice section of the 2017 event, the organizers of the event had to rectify their regulations to comply with safety regulations working around an ongoing investigation that will still be in place on the day. Although they have had to eliminate the popular Moped Mayhem run from the convention, they have all worked together to provide lots of exciting festivals exhibits for the show. The highlight of the event will be the award show! Selected candidates will ride their unique bikes into the paddock of the event, to further be assessed by a panel of judges. They will then ride their bikes around for spectators to admire for themselves!
As well as this, there will also be a selection of international food stalls, as well as a live music performance interpreting Motorcycle Culture from the 60’s and 70’s! In addition, there will be lots of pop-up stalls available; one of these will be from Ducati Glasgow, featuring a showcase of new models and merchandise.
