Jobs in the Motorcycle Industry
There are plenty of jobs in the motorcycle industry, but which one do you go for? There are so many to choose from! We Buy Any Bike thought it might be a good idea to list as many as we can, to help you pick!
If you like the look of any of these job roles, make sure to head on over to Jooble, they have a lot of roles available in the Motorcycle Industry! There are probably a lot more roles that we have missed from our list. So, please let us know in the comments if you can think of any more!
Let’s Start with Buying!
Well, why wouldn’t we?! We are We Buy Any Bike, of course! Being a bike buyer is a demanding but rewarding job. You always have to have a keen eye, monitoring the current fluctuation of the market, and the reward is you get to see all the beauties that come through the door! Motorcycle Marketing
This job stems into a whole load of different branches. I have written them all down but we would be here all day if we were to talk about them individually! Some Motorcycle Marketing Jobs include:
- Motorcycle Journalism
- Advertising
- Social Media
- Digital Marketing
- Podcast Host
- Photographer
Motorcycle Mechanic
Being a mechanic is one thing, but being an experienced motorcycle mechanic is another, and it’s a very sought out role as well! Are you looking to step into the world of Mechanics, why not check out some of these courses?!
- City & Guilds
- Find an apprenticeship near you!
Delivery & Collections Driver
Being a driver is an extremely rewarding job. It gives you the opportunity to travel anywhere your route takes you! Whether you are collecting or delivering motorcycles, it is still a great role, or even if you chauffeur parts!
Food Delivery Driver
Ah, you didn’t think about that one, did you?! To be honest, I nearly forgot about this one too. How misleading is it when you order something on your favourite food delivery app? You see the little scooter travelling through the map, only to look out of the window and find someone getting your food out of the boot of a Skoda? Well, if you’re a biker considering this as a job role, we’d like to see more delivery scooters on the roads… just saying!
Test Rider
This one would be the dream! Can you imagine working for your favourite brand of motorcycles testing bikes straight as they come out of the design room?! However, a lot of the time this role is reserved for retired racers.
Professional Racer
Come on, you’ve got to have seen that coming! Another dream job for many is being a racer or just a professional rider in general. I don’t think I have anything else to say about this one!
Valeter
This category also applies to anyone who works within the bodywork-style role. Being a Valeter, or a wrapper, or any kind of job in that category is a very creative outlet, it’s ideal for someone who has a keen eye for detail and for those who work best in a fast-paced environment.
Motorcycle Instructor
Regardless of the level of instruction, we think it would be a very rewarding job to teach someone to ride a motorcycle. I honestly can’t say I’ve ever taught anyone anything of the sort, to be honest.
More Jobs in the Motorcycle Industry
In no particular order, here are some more jobs that are highly important to the industry:
- Finance Specialist
- Insurance Advisor
- Warranty and Claims Specialist
- Parts Supplier
- Designer
- Researcher
