What is a learner legal rider?!

There are different stages of learner legal that coordinate around your age. A 16-year-old who holds a provisional license and have done their CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) can ride a lightweight machine. A solo machine with strictly no more power than 50cc. The vehicle must be limited to a top speed of 28 mph, meaning you may need to purchase a restrictor. When on the roads with this machine, you must also be: ✓ Displaying L plates clearly ✓ Have a speedo measuring in miles per hour ✓ Vehicle insured ✓ Vehicle taxed When reaching 17 years old, you can step it up a bit! You can now move to a motorcycle if you wish, with a power output of 125cc. The points above still would apply, so L plates are still needed and so on. roller-1521495 1920-1-768x432
